Baker is unusual in how its green space is arranged. Instead of one or two large parks serving everybody, there’s a scatter of small ones sitting right inside the neighborhoods — Chamberlain Street, Harding Street, Jefferson Street, Lebrent Avenue. Walkable, local, and each effectively belonging to the few streets around it.
That shapes the parties. A lot of what we set up in Baker isn’t a private backyard birthday at all — it’s a block-level gathering where the park is the venue and half the street turns up.
Setting Up at a Neighborhood Park
Public land means permission. Before booking a spacewalk for a park setup, check with the parks authority about what’s allowed on that specific site: some permit inflatables freely, some require notice, and most will want to know somebody is responsible for supervision.
Two practical things people miss:
Power. Small neighborhood parks frequently have none. A spacewalk’s blower runs continuously, so if there’s no outlet within about 100 feet you’ll need a generator — tell us at booking and we’ll plan around it rather than discovering it on arrival.
Anchoring. Turf is ideal and most of these sites have it. Where staking isn’t permitted, weighted anchoring is the alternative and it changes what we bring.

- Classic spacewalks — the traditional enclosed jumping unit, 13×13 or 15×15. $150–$250.
- Themed spacewalks — same footprint, character or castle artwork. $150–$250.
- Combo spacewalks — jumping floor with a slide and usually a climbing wall. $200–$325.
For a park gathering rather than a guest-list party, assume a wider age range than you planned for. Neighborhood events attract whoever is around, and a combo unit copes with that better than a classic one.
