Two things make that easier. Order slightly over rather than exactly — one spare cloth costs very little and removes the panic if something is spilled before anyone sits down. And label nothing to chance: if different tables need different sizes, know which is which before you’re standing in the hall.
Measure the Hall’s Tables
Parish and community halls own their tables, usually bought over several decades, and they are rarely the sizes people assume. Measure them: length and width or diameter, plus height, since height determines how far the cloth hangs.
A mixed set will need more than one size of cloth. That’s normal and entirely manageable — as long as you find out a week before rather than an hour before.

Guest tables get counted. The cake table, the gift table, the memory or photograph table and the serving line usually don’t — and those are the ones in every photograph.
Walk the room, list every surface that will hold something, and order from that list.
Color and Timing
Specific colors need more notice than seating does. A color in a particular size either exists that weekend or it doesn’t. If your occasion has a color attached to it, order early.
