Spacewalk Rentals in Gonzales, LA
Somewhere for the Kids While the Grown-ups Eat
A large share of the spacewalks we deliver in Gonzales are not the main attraction at all. They’re the thing that occupies the children for the three or four hours the adults spend around the food — and judged on that job, the choice of unit matters differently.
What you want is something that holds attention for a long stretch without supervision-heavy features, sited where you can see it from where you’re sitting. Duration beats spectacle.
Which Unit Lasts Longest
Classic spacewalks are ideal for a tight age band of younger children — simple, safe, and everybody can use it at once. $150–$250.
Combo spacewalks add a slide and usually a climbing wall. For a long event with a mixed age group, this is the one that keeps children coming back rather than drifting to the table. $200–$325.
Themed units cost the same as a classic and matter mostly to the under-sevens.
For a genuinely long afternoon, the combo is worth the difference nearly every time.
Where to Put It
Two rules for a Gonzales setup, both learned the hard way by somebody:
Well away from the cooking. Hot pots, open flame and running children need separating by real distance, not by good intentions.
In sight of the seating. If adults can watch from where they’re eating, nobody has to leave the table to supervise and the whole event works better.
The Word
Spacewalk, bounce house, moon bounce, jump house — the same equipment under whichever name you grew up with. Plenty of people in this part of Louisiana have never called it anything but a spacewalk.
Setup
Flat ground with clearance, a route from the truck, power within about 100 feet. Grass is best. Tell us about narrow gates, slabs or a setup point far from where a truck can stop.
