A black and white checkerboard dance floor is the classic wedding dance floor. We alternate our Slate Black and Slate White SnapLock Plus panels in a true 3 ft checkerboard for the timeless ballroom look you see in wedding photos: it flatters a white dress, works with every color palette, and makes the first dance the center of the room. It is equally at home at a gala, a Mardi Gras ball, a corporate party, or a Gatsby night. Same commercial-grade floor, twice the style. Available from 12x12 up to a 24x24 showpiece.
The go-to size for a full wedding reception. An 18x18 checkerboard handles 150 to 200 guests, big wedding parties, school dances, and corporate events with a band. Pair it with one of our 20x40 or 40ft hexagon tents for a complete outdoor venue.
Sizing guide: an 18x18 dance floor is 324 square feet and comfortably holds 64 to 72 dancers at once. Since about 40 to 50 percent of guests dance at any one time, this size suits events of roughly 128 to 180 guests. Not sure? Call or text us and we will size it for you.
Every Red Stick dance floor rental includes delivery, professional installation, and pickup by our own crew anywhere in the Baton Rouge area. We level the floor, lock the panels, and finish all four sides with beveled edging so there is no trip lip. Setting up outdoors on grass? Add our white Event Decking subfloor in the same 18x18 footprint at checkout; it is required for any outdoor or grass installation so the floor stays flat and stable.

FAQ
Can the dance floor go outside on grass?
Yes. All of our dance floors are waterproof and built for outdoor events. For grass, dirt, gravel, or uneven ground we install a white Event Decking subfloor under the dance floor so it stays level and stable. The subfloor is required for any outdoor setup and is added as an option when you book.
Does the price include delivery and setup?
Yes. Our crew delivers, installs, and picks up every dance floor. Standard delivery covers Baton Rouge, Baker, Zachary, Central, Denham Springs, Prairieville, Gonzales, and surrounding areas within about 30 miles; a small distance fee applies beyond that.
Can I put it in a tent?
Absolutely. Dance floors are most often paired with one of our frame tents. Tell us the tent size and we will confirm the floor fits with room for tables and a DJ.
What if it rains?
The floor itself is waterproof. If you have a tent, the party goes on. We just ask that you let us know about standing water before pickup.
